Catholic Family Services - Peel Dufferin // Counselling Programs

Walk In Clinics in our Brampton and Mississauga locations make counselling services available in one week. In order to keep our waiting lists down we ask all new clients for our core program areas to access our services first through a Walk-in session. Core programs include:

Individual, Couple & Family Therapy
Partner Abuse Individual and Family Counselling
Adults Who Have Experienced Childhood Abuse

At the Walk-in session families will be offered an approach to their problems that focuses on
solutions. Counsellors work together with individual, couple or family to determine steps to begin
desired change. Sometimes the Walk-in sessions offers you enough new ideas. Clients report
  Walk-in counselling is helpful in addressing their goals and they describe feeling more hopeful
following the service.

For additional services after Walk-in you will be placed on the Core programs wait list.

To pre-register for Walk-in or to speak about agency services please call our
  Caseworker Team at 905.450.1608 ext. 112. If a family is unable to attend at Walk-in times
  we offer what we call a scheduled Walk-in session at a time that is convenient.

When seeking counselling for yourself and your children we ask that the parent(s) attend the first session without their children. (Childcare is available at the Walk-In clinics to make this easier). We do this in order to determine custody and how to proceed in the best way for all involved. If you are separated or divorced you will be asked to bring legal documentation outlining custody agreements to this first session.
